The Global Center desires to reach learners around the world who wish to connect with others in an exciting learning environment. We believe that there is enormous value in diversity and strive to cultivate a virtual space that encourages higher-level learning and creative problem solving.

Robert Landau

Senior Program Advisor

Robert Landau’s career in education began in Switzerland as a teacher and principal before becoming head of an international school in Indonesia in 1997. He then moved to California where he was the founding director of the International School of Monterey, the first international charter school in the United States. He became the director of the International School of Prague, Czech Republic in 1999, a position he held for nine years, before becoming the director of the Liger Learning Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, a school renowned for offering promising, yet disadvantaged, children educational and leadership opportunities they would not otherwise receive. Landau also served as Head of Maui Preparatory Academy, was the former Executive Director of Hawai’i Association of Independent Schools, and is the co-founder of IMPACT Bound, an innovative learning challenge for middle and high school kids.  His company, Two Roads Education LLC, provides coaching for school leaders around the world.

Rebecca Tunstall

Program Manager

After graduating with a dual degree in History Education and Religious Studies from Cairn University, Rebecca Tunstall has been teaching English and History for over ten years.  Upon completion of her graduate work in English Curriculum Design and Assessment from Liberty University, she shifted into designing various curricula and administrative work at her school.  She has also enjoyed teaching at the collegiate level in recent years. She lives with her husband and her three sons in South Jersey where they are both educators involved in their community.

Maggie Cochran

Assistant Program Director

Maggie graduated from Towson University having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Business Administration and English.   After working in sales for a few years, she went on to earn a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Goucher College and, later, a Masters of Education in Gifted and Talented Education from Notre Dame of Maryland University.  She has been teaching for the past fifteen years with a focus on language acquisition and international learners.  Maggie lives with her husband and two children.  She enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Brittni Kather

Education Facilitator

Brittni graduated from The University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. She has taught English and ESL to international students for ten years. She lives in Portland, Oregon where she acts in local theater productions and teaches acting classes. Brittni enjoys traveling, baking and hiking.

Denize Shah

Education Facilitator

Denize graduated from Ryerson University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology, and then York University with a Master’s of Law from York University’s prestigious socio-legal department. She has taught English, college-level English prep, and ESL to domestic and international students ranging from 3 to 25 years old for 7 years. She lives right outside of Toronto, Ontario where she enjoys the sights of the CN Tower and walks her 6 year old dog, Luna. Denize enjoys baking, sewing, and playing video games.
